Import Deal Brain Calls
Gong calls and transcripts import automatically on a recurring schedule. Deal Brain attaches each call to the correct opportunity using attendee email matching, so sellers never tag calls by hand. Private calls (isPrivate: true) are excluded from ingestion — no content ever enters Deal Brain for calls marked private in Gong.

Four read-only OAuth scopes: api:users:read, api:calls:read:basic, api:calls:read:extensive, and api:calls:read:transcript. Deal Brain does not request write access — we never modify calls, users, or any data inside Gong. Integration is org-level, matching Gong's OAuth model.
Private calls are excluded. Deal Brain filters out any call where isPrivate is true before fetching its content — we never ingest transcripts, parties, or CRM context for private calls. Only the bare call list (id, privacy flag, scheduled time) is momentarily visible and is immediately dropped.
Deal Brain uses two signals. (a) Google Calendar mapping — if the calendar event for the meeting is already linked to an opportunity in Deal Brain, the call attaches there automatically. (b) Attendee emails — otherwise, attendee emails are compared against contacts linked to each opportunity in your CRM. Single-match attaches directly; if multiple opportunities match, a temporal ranker selects the closest by date and stage. Calls with no match stay unattached rather than guessing.
A Gong admin with permission to install connected applications. Once installed, the integration covers the whole Gong workspace (org-level OAuth); individual sellers do not re-authenticate.
On first connect, Deal Brain pulls up to the past 365 days of calls by default and attaches any that match open or recent opportunities. After that, an incremental sync runs on a recurring schedule and picks up new calls as Gong finishes processing them.
Call metadata and transcripts are stored per-customer in Deal Brain, encrypted at rest. Call visibility inside Deal Brain follows your opportunity access model — a user sees a call only if they can see the opportunity it's attached to. Admins can further restrict access per team.
From Deal Brain: Settings → Connections → Disconnect on the Gong integration. That revokes the refresh token and stops all sync. You can also revoke the app directly from Gong's Admin → Ecosystem → API → Integrations. For deletion of previously-synced data, contact support@findtempo.co.
No. Deal Brain works with any Gong plan that exposes the Calls API, which is standard across Gong. There are no additional fees from Deal Brain to connect Gong.

Requirements

No Subscription Requirements

No Gong subscription tier is required. The Deal Brain integration works on any Gong plan that exposes the Calls API (standard for all Gong customers).

Authenticating User Requirements

To authenticate this integration for the first time, a user must be able to install a Gong connected application within their Gong instance.

Connect

  1. In Deal Brain, go to Settings → Connections.
  2. Click Connect Gong and authorize Deal Brain in your Gong workspace. Deal Brain requests read access to calls (basic, extensive, transcript) and users — nothing else.
  3. Deal Brain automatically imports calls on a recurring schedule. Private calls are excluded from ingestion.
  4. Open any opportunity in Deal Brain to see the linked Gong calls, transcripts, and AI-generated summaries.
